Why Pilates?

Pilates is a progressive form of exercise, starting with basic movements, which then form part of a more complex programme.

Most exercises are suitable for people with back and neck problems and various other aches and pains.

Why Pilates?

Pilates exercises are smooth flowing movements, working from a stable core.

The aim is to realign muscles, open up spaces between each vertebra, increase body awareness and improve posture.

Benefits of Pilates Exercises

  1. better posture
  2. improved mobility and flexibility
  3. improved muscle tone, improving physical appearance (body sculpting)
  4. increased muscle strength and endurance
  5. improved balance and coordination
  6. increased efficiency of pelvic floor muscles
  7. relaxation, reduce stress levels and improve holistic well-being
  8. improved lung function
  9. improvement in back and neck pain

It takes time to retrain the postural muscles, there is not instant change, but over a few months improvement will be noticeable.
